Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with pleasure and best wishes that I welcome you all. Umaru Musa Yar’adua University as you all know is one of the fastest growing State-Owned citadels of learning, and therefore, every effort, support and cooperation will continue to be needed to improve its lots for the benefit of this and the upcoming generations.
A total of twenty six (26) number new programmes were recently introduced; many more are being packaged and will be ready for mounting as soon as all ground works are completed. We are not unmindful of the vision and mission of the founding fathers of the University, as such, concerted effort will continue to be made in ensuring the attainment of the goals of this institution.
Umaru Musa Yar’adua University environment is safe for learning, teaching and research and the entire State is peaceful, hospitable and always welcomes visitors, friends and well-wishers who are regarded as partners in progress.
It is the candid desire of the University Management to allow its doors to remain open for anyone wishing to contribute for the development of this fast growing institution.
