REGISTRATION FOR APTITUDE TEST/SCREENING FOR UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY (DE) CANDIDATES

 Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, wishes to invite candidates who have selected the institution as their first choice in the year 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) application to register for aptitude test/screening via the University’s Post UTME Portal

Candidates seeking admission through the UTME mode must have scored the minimum cut-off marks for the programmes they applied for.  Details on the approved cut off-marks and the admission requirements for each programme can be found through the following links:  https://umyu.edu.ng/approved-cut-off-marks-for-admission-2025-2026-session-utme-jamb-2025/ and https://umyu.edu.ng/approved-2025-admission-requirements-revised/

Please note that, only the candidates who satisfied the correct UTME subject combinations would be enabled for the registration. DE candidates, on the other hand, are not to appear physically for the aptitude test/screening as their screening would be conducted online.

The online registration exercise will commence on Friday, 29th August, 2025 and close on Thursday, 25th September, 2025.  The date for the aptitude test/screening would be indicated on the registration slip of the applicants.

Eligible candidates are to upload the following documents during the application:

1) JAMB Result Slip of the year 2025 for UTME candidates or JAMB Registration Slip of the year 2025 in the case of DE candidates;

2) O’ Level Result(s);

3) Form of identification (Indigene Letter, National Identification Card, International Passport, etc);

4) Direct Entry (DE) candidates are to also upload their A’ Level Results (Diploma, IJMB, NCE, etc).

Kindly note also that, candidates who are awaiting results can equally apply.

MODE OF PAYMENT

Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N2,000.00 only (all charges inclusive) for the aptitude test/screening through the payment options provided on the University’s Post UTME Portal.

UTME Candidates are to come along with their payment slips for the aptitude test and would be required to submit hard copies of their credentials at the venue of the test. All candidates are advised to be checking the University’s website for information/update on the test/screening.

Direct entry candidates are also requested to forward hardcopies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar after the online registration.

Please note also that, candidates identified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with ‘special needs’ are exempted from the Post-UTME aptitude test, but are, however, requested to forward the hard copies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar.
