Guidelines for Registration of New Students
(2024/2025 Session)
Congratulations for securing a place to study at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University.
This guideline is for Fresh (100 Level or 200L Direct entry) candidates who were offered admission by the university.
Please follow the step by step guideline to register.
- Ensure that your name is among the list of successful candidates shortlisted for admission on the university website www.umyu.edu.ng
- Take note of the course offered to you by the university. If you were offered admission into a programme different from the one you applied for, ensure that you visit the JAMB office nearest to you, or any JAMB accredited CBT centre to change your programme of choice to the one offered by the university.
- Ensure that you have uploaded your O’ Level (and A’ Level as the case may be) results on the JAMB portal. Please note that the upload can only be done at any JAMB office nearest to you or any JAMB approved CBT centre. Upload of O’ Level or A’ Level results should not be done at any Internet Cafe as JAMB does not accept such uploads.
- You are expected to accept the admission offered by the university. Please visit the university website www.umyu.edu.ng and click on payment of acceptance fee and printing of admission letter 2024/2025 session. While you are there, pay the prescribed acceptance fee, print the (university) provisional admission letter and other registration documents. View step by step guidelines

This can be done by either the candidate through phone or computer or at JAMB office, JAMB approved CBT centre or Internet Cafe. Print the admission letter and submit a copy to the university during Central Registration. View List of Verified Candidate Enabled for Registration.
