INVITATION FOR SECOND POST UTME APTITUDE TEST
Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, wishes to inform the general public that it has secured an approval from the National Universities Commission for the establishment of the following fifteen (15) new programmes.
- Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT)
- B.NSc. Nursing Science
- B.Medical Laboratory Science
- B.Sc. Cyber Security
- B.Sc. Plant Science and Biotechnology
- B.Sc. Animal and Environmental Biology
- B.Sc. Medical Physics
- B.Sc. Physics with Electronics
- B.Sc. Applied Geophysics
- B.Sc. Information System
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B. Ed. Educational Management
- B. Ed. Guidance and Counseling
- B.A. Arabic Literary Study and Translation
- B.Sc. Food Science and Technology
Candidates who wish to study any of the programmes listed above are invited to register for an aptitude test.
Accordingly, candidates who have either missed the first Post UTME Aptitude Test or want to apply for the existing programmes of the university are also invited for the test.
However, the following programmes are exempted: Agriculture, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Education & Computer Science, Environmental Management, International Relations, Law, Library and Information Science, Medicine & Surgery and Microbiology.
To register for the test, candidates who have selected Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina as their first choice in the year 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application and have scored the minimum cut-off marks for the programmes they applied for. Candidates shall note that only those who obtained the minimum cut – off mark and satisfied the correct UTME subject combinations will be enabled for the registration.
Registration for the aptitude test will be opened from Saturday, 11th October 2025, through Friday, 17th October 2025. The aptitude test would be held on Saturday 18th October, 2025.
Eligible candidates are to upload the following documents during the application:
1) JAMB Result Slip of the year 2025 for UTME candidates;
2) O’ Level Result(s);
3) Means of identification (Indigene Letter, National Identification Card, International Passport, etc);
Candidates who are awaiting results can equally apply.
MODE OF PAYMENT
Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N2,000.00 only (all charges inclusive) for the aptitude test through the payment options provided on the University’s website.
UTME Candidates are to come along with their payment slips for the aptitude test. All candidates are advised to be checking the University’s website for information/updates on the test.
Please note also that candidates identified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with ‘special needs’ are exempted from the Post-UTME aptitude test, but are, however, requested to forward the hard copies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar.
