Dr Bagiwa Zulaihatu Lawal holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning. Currently a Lecturer with the department of Education, Faculty of Education Umar Musa Yar’adu’a University Katsina, Nigeria.
Dr Bagiwa was awarded Doctorate degree in Educational Administration from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2015; her thesis was on School-parental participation in the Administration of Public secondary schools in Katsina State, Nigeria. Her masters degree in Educational Administration from Bayero University Kano followed in 2008 and a Honours degree in Social Studies from Ahmadu Bello University 1995. Lastly she bagged a National Certificate in Education in Social studies/Islamic Religious Studies from Federal collage of Education Katsina in 1992.
Dr Bagiwa as a seasoned researcher had published in renowned journals and attended both national and international conferences and workshops. Hence, keen to build a career in the academics and School management. Area of specialization includes Educational leadership, school and resource management. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in General Education and Educational Administration. She has served the university in various capacities as level adviser, member in different committees and sub-committees she is currently the deputy dean faculty of education.

Dr Bagiwa is an active member of Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEP), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), and also a member of Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON, Katsina State Chapter).
