Born 1957, Misbahu Na’Iya is an indigene of Unguwar Alkali, Katsina.

He had his Primary School Education in five different schools in Dutsi, Ingawa, Kankia, Bakori and Batsari from 1963 – 1969. Secondary School Education at GSS Kachia from 1970 – 1974. Katsina College of Arts, Science and Technology for IJMB ‘A’ levels from 1974 – 1976. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria B.Lib.Sc. 1976 – 1979 & M.Lib.Sc. 1980 – 1984.

Worked as NYSC Corper at Nigerian Army School of Education, Ilorin 1979/1980, then Lecturer I at ABU, Zaria from 1980 – 1984; Deputy Director at Katsina State Library Board from 1992 – 1994; College Librarian at FCE Katsina 1996 – 2001; University Librarian at Bayero University Kano 2001 – 2011; Deputy Librarian at Federal University Dutsin-ma 2011 – 2014; Ag. University Librarian at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina from September 2014 – date.

He has been to Training Workshops and presented papers at International Conferences in UK, Australia, USA, South Africa, Slovakia, Italy and Dubai. He has published several papers in professional journals and has a book chapter at Ilorin, Zaria, Katsina and Dubai.

He is married with 12 children
