Dr. Muhammad Saleh Salga

Muhammad Saleh Salga was born at Charanchi, in Charachi local government of Katsina State. He graduated from Bayero University Kano. He obtained his B.Sc Chemistry (1998) and M.Sc Inorganic Chemistry (2008) from the same institution (BUK). He attended a one year Postgraduate Diploma course in Education in the year 2008 from Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto. In the year 2012, he obtained his PhD degree in inorganic Chemistry from the University Of Malaya (Malaysia). He worked with the Katsina state ministry of education in the year 2000 and in the same year transfers his services to Isa Kaita College of Education Dutsinma. Sequel to the establishment of Katsina State University in the year 2006, he was also employed as one of the pioneer staff in the department of Chemistry, Katsina State University which was latter re-named as Umaru Musa Yaradua university.He hold many administrative position in academic line like Examination Officer, Level Coordinator, Postgraduate coordinator, Head Of Department and Chairmanship/Membership in many committees like research, strategic plan, departmental and faculty  committees, ASUU, senate and as a member representing the congregation in the Governing council Of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University. He was a member of the chemical society of Nigeria, International research and development institute and many other non-governmental organizations.


Dr Muhammad Saleh Salga was appointed as the deputy vice chancellor academic of Umaru Musa Yaradua University, Kasina in the year 2016.
